Born and raised in a small town in Southern California,
Raquel was involved in the Performing Arts, Music, Dance,
Acting and Cheerleading, wherever she went it seemed to
be on the performing side of the spectrum. Besides acting
during high school she got involved in Rock Combo, a jazz
ensamble they had at her high school and sang with jazz
Artist Walter Beasley during those high school years.
Later after she graduated she became lead singer for a
local band called Night WInd, her band won 1st place at the
California Mid-Winter Fair. Raquel had a passion for music
and Performing Arts and wanted to continue her career
and decided to move to the greater Los Angeles area.
While continuing to work on some commercial jingles she
decided she wanted to pursue more towards her first
passion, which was acting. She then had an unexpected
visitor, a gift, her daughter was born and decided to put
her career on hold and raised her daughter.
Raquel then became a single mom and settled into a
normal job as an Assistant in Corporate Finance and later
became a Recruiter/Trainer in Human Resources. During
this time Raquel began to search her calling, once again
leading her back towards the Performing Arts.
Now Raquel Ames has worked on various Independent
Films, TV Commericals and Industrials, both in San Diego
and Los Angeles, CA. Raquel also enjoys Photography, and
spending time with Family, Friends and her Dogs.
